About
… Travel has always been at the heart of Innerkofler’s photographic practice. Over the course of his career, he has travelled extensively through Europe, North America, Asia and other parts of the world, continually collecting images, fragments and impressions. From the Mediterranean coastlines of Greece, Spain and Portugal to the streets of New York, Shanghai, Kyoto and Toronto, these journeys have become an evolving visual archive. His photographs are less concerned with documenting a destination than with capturing the feeling of being there — the light, the silence, the architecture, the human presence and those fleeting moments that become lasting memories. …
